Crisis Assistance Program (CAP™)
A crisis, like terrorism, wrongful detention, or a pandemic outbreak, can turn a routine business trip or exciting opportunity abroad into a nightmare.
CAP coverage provides corporate businesses, executives, mobile staff, high-net-worth individuals, and their families with 24/7 on-demand access to global assistance centers for advice and coordinated in-country crisis response services, when necessary.
Kidnappings, extortion threats, disappearances, hostage situations, and other crisis events require rapid, expert intervention. Crisis assistance can help protect your employees with a time-sensitive response and give you access to resources, should the unthinkable happen.
The program offers***:
Advice and possible deployment of crisis consultants, security personnel, and transportation assets to assist CAP customers directly impacted by a natural disaster, up to and including possible evacuation.
Advice and possible deployment of crisis consultants and security personnel to assist with sheltering in place or evacuation from the impacted area.
Advice and possible deployment of crisis consultants to assist with seeking safety, emergency message relay, required medical attention, and the deployment of security personnel to ensure adequate security of CAP customers directly impacted by a terrorist incident, up to and including possible evacuation.
Advice and possible deployment of crisis consultants to work towards the release of a CAP customer being wrongfully detained. An interpreter, along with emergency message relay, legal referrals, and limited legal expenses, is provided if required.
Advice and possible deployment of crisis consultants to assist families and employers in the resolution of the incident and the safe return of the CAP customer.
Advice and possible deployment of crisis consultants to coordinate with local law enforcement and government officials to aid with the safe release of a CAP customer and bring a resolution to the hijacking.
Advice and possible deployment of crisis consultants to investigate and bring a resolution to the blackmail or extortion threat directly impacting a CAP customer.
Advice and possible deployment of crisis or medical consultants, security personnel, and transportation assets to assist a CAP customer directly impacted by a pandemic, up to and including possible evacuation from the affected area.
** Ransom payments are not covered
*** Limited to two evacuations per person within a year.
